Fat is removed by liposuction from the waist, flanks, lower back or abdomen, purified, and injected into the buttocks. This gives fuller, rounder buttocks and a slimmer waist in one surgery. A BBL may suit you if: - your buttocks look small, flat or square for your body frame - weight loss or ageing has left your buttocks flat or sagging - clothes and swimwear don't fit the way you would like - you have enough spare fat on the waist, back, flanks or abdomen to transfer If you are very slim, you may not have enough fat. A BBL done by a qualified plastic surgeon is generally safe, but it has a rare, serious risk: fat entering the large veins in the buttock muscle (fat embolism). International plastic surgery safety guidelines advise injecting fat only into the layer under the skin, never into or under the muscle.
