# Buttock Augmentation with Implants in Bangalore

Buttock augmentation with implants uses soft, solid silicone implants to make the buttocks fuller, rounder and more projected. It suits people who don't have enough spare fat for a Brazilian butt lift. At Contura Clinic, Bangalore, Dr Sreekar Harinatha places the implants through a single cut hidden in the buttock crease. ## How is the surgery done?

1. You receive general or spinal anaesthesia.
2. A single cut is made in the midline, at the top of the crease between the buttocks.
3. A pocket is made inside or just above the buttock muscle.
4. The implants are placed, and the cut is closed.

Dr Sreekar prefers round, smooth implants for most patients.


## Recovery after buttock implants

- Rest for several days. Walking is encouraged, because it eases muscle spasms.
- Antibiotics are given to prevent infection.
- Pain tablets are usually needed for at least a week.
- Implants inside the muscle may take a few months to settle as the muscle relaxes.
- Normal exercise can usually start again in 4–6 weeks.

Avoid sitting directly on your buttocks for 2–3 weeks, and wear a compression garment for 4–6 weeks.


## Frequently asked questions

### Are buttock implants safe?

Solid silicone buttock implants can't leak like gel implants. Like any surgery, there is some risk. The main risks are infection, wound opening, fluid collection (seroma), implant movement and unevenness.

### Will the scar show?

The scar is a thin line at the top of the buttock crease. It usually heals well and is hidden by small underwear.

### How long until I can exercise after buttock implants?

Most people can go back to normal exercise in 4–6 weeks.
