# Smile Makeover in Bangalore

A smile makeover combines cosmetic dental treatments to improve the colour, shape, size, spacing and alignment of your teeth. Treatments may include whitening, veneers, bonding, crowns and aligners. Most makeovers take 2–4 visits, depending on the treatments chosen.

## How does a smile makeover work?

1. **Consultation:** Dr Nikhitha checks your teeth, gums and bite, and asks what you'd like to change.
2. **Records:** photos, X-rays and impressions or a digital scan of your teeth.
3. **Smile design:** a digital plan of your new smile, matched to your face, lips and skin tone.
4. **Preview:** you see the planned result before any tooth is changed.
5. **Treatment:** the planned treatments are done in order, usually whitening first so new veneers or crowns can match the brighter shade.

## Frequently asked questions

### How long does a smile makeover take?

It depends on the treatments. Whitening and bonding can be done in one or two visits. Veneers usually take 2 visits over 1–2 weeks. Aligners take months.

### Will my smile look natural?

Yes, if it is planned well. Dr Nikhitha designs the shape and shade of each tooth to suit your face, so the result looks like your own teeth, only better.

### Are veneers permanent?

Porcelain veneers usually need a thin layer of enamel removed, so the change is permanent and the teeth will always need a covering. Veneers themselves may need replacing after many years.
