How does fractional CO2 laser work?
The laser beam is split into many fine micro-beams. Each one makes a tiny treated column in the skin, while the skin around it stays untouched. The untouched skin helps the treated areas heal quickly. As they heal, old collagen tightens and new collagen forms, which smooths scars and lines and refines texture. Small areas, such as around the eyes and mouth, can be treated precisely.

What to expect after a CO2 laser session
- Days 1–3: the skin is red, like mild sunburn.
- Days 3–4: fine peeling or flaking begins.
- Days 3–7: the skin returns to a normal look, sometimes a little longer.
- Afterwards: use a gentle moisturiser and SPF 30+ sunscreen every day. Avoid direct sun, and don’t pick at the skin.
