# HydraFacial in Bangalore

*Medically reviewed by [Dr Nithya Raghunath](/about-dr-nithya-raghunath-best-dermatologist-doctor-bangalore), MD (Dermatology)*

HydraFacial is a non-invasive facial that cleanses, exfoliates, extracts and hydrates the skin in one session using a vortex suction tip. At Contura Clinic, Bangalore, it is combined with microcurrent toning and serum infusion. It leaves the skin brighter, plumper and clearer, with smaller-looking pores. There is no downtime, so you can return to your day straight away.

## What happens during a HydraFacial at Contura?

1. **Cleanse and exfoliate:** the top layer of dead skin is gently removed.
2. **Extract:** the vortex tip sucks out dirt, oil and blackheads from the pores, without squeezing.
3. **Hydrate and protect:** moisturising serums and antioxidants are pushed into the skin at the same time.
4. **Tighten:** microcurrent technology stimulates the facial muscles and supports collagen.
5. **Infuse and tone:** targeted serums are delivered with EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) to tone the face and boost circulation.
6. **Boosters (optional):** extra serums for concerns such as brown spots or fine lines.

## What are the benefits of a HydraFacial?

- Hydrated, bright and plump skin
- Clearer skin with fewer blackheads
- Smaller-looking pores
- Softer fine lines and firmer skin
- More even tone and texture, with lighter brown spots
- Consistent results, because the machine does most of the work

## Who is HydraFacial for?

HydraFacial suits most skin types, including oily, dry, combination and sensitive skin. It is popular for dull skin, clogged pores and blackheads, uneven tone and early fine lines, and as a quick glow before an event. If you have active acne, a skin infection or a rash, see the dermatologist first.

## HydraFacial or a regular facial?

A regular salon facial relies on manual steps, so results vary with the person doing it. A HydraFacial uses a medical device for each step, including suction extraction and serum infusion, so results are more consistent. At Contura, it is done in a dermatology clinic, where a doctor can add treatments such as [peels](/peels-treatment) or [skin boosters](/skin-boosters) if your skin needs them.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is there any downtime after a HydraFacial?

No. Most people can put on makeup and go back to work or an event straight after. Your skin may look slightly pink for a short while.

### How often should I get a HydraFacial?

Many people have one every 4 weeks to keep their skin clear and hydrated. Your dermatologist can suggest a plan for your skin.

### Does HydraFacial help with blackheads and open pores?

Yes. The vortex suction tip removes dirt, oil and blackheads from the pores, which helps pores look smaller and skin look clearer.

### Can HydraFacial be combined with other treatments?

Yes. HydraFacial is often combined with HIFU, laser hair removal, peels and skin boosters.
