Aftercare and side effects
- Your skin will be more sensitive to the sun, so use SPF 30+ sunscreen daily.
- Pores may look larger for a short time.
- Deep peels can lighten the skin.
- Peels can trigger cold sores or skin allergies in some people. Tell your doctor if you get cold sores.
- Don't try strong peels at home. They can burn the skin and worsen pigmentation.
